As a math tutor in sunny California, John McCormick has helped hundreds of students succeed in math. His secret: John found that the words used to describe math ideas were more problematic than the techniques themselves. In fact, students quickly grasp techniques; the difficulty is the language of math—the verbal and written explanations describing the techniques. John began a project of listing all the words used in primary and secondary math courses in the order they appeared.
With his method, students went from math illiteracy to math competency. Now he has done it with algebra! His new book “Mastering Algebra: The Three Secrets” is a masterpiece. It proves anyone can easily understand algebra! Get the book. Read it. And see for yourself! John can be reached at mathdude@languageofmath.com
